What is the fate of Defying Gravity? The ratings, which aren’t good, haven’t really been very interesting to follow. It has a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating even with Live+7 factored in wherever the data was available. So I didn’t figure we’d see a season two. But, I’ve been wondering what the fate of season one will be.
The series about eight astronauts in a space mission was not exactly a hit maker. It premiered to only 3.83 million viewers on August 2 and the number has constantly deteriorated since then. Last week, ABC has excluded listing “Gravity” on the schedule after the September 13 episode but did not give explanation to that.
What about a season 2? Well, ABC is not the one producing the show, so if there is enough of a fan voice, maybe, just maybe, another American station will be bright enough to ask for it. We can always hope.
