They use what is called Text to Speech bindings. If you wish to create a binding, you go to Add or Edit key bindings -> New -> Add -> Text to Speech -> enter message and press Ok -> press Ok again -> Then press the assigned hotkey and you should be good to go.

I suggest using a free Audio program called Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
On some systems (I know it works on mine) you can record sound directly off you're sound card. Anything that plays through the speakers, can be recorded.
Some steps to test Audacity's sound card recording abilities:
1. Assuming you have downloaded and installed Audacity, open it up
2. In the main window there should be a slightly confusing looking set of buttons. There is one drop down box in particular that should say Microphone. Click on it.
3. Click on Stereo Mix.
4. Press the record button (the red circle)
5. Open the volume control mixer (assuming you're using windows)
6. Click the "Volume Control" slider, a noise should be made.
7. In Audacity again click the stop button (the square)
8. Click the skip to start button (purple <<| ) and click play (green triangle)
9. If you can hear the noise, you should be able to record any program that makes noise. If not then I am unable to help.

Download and run this free program to see if your
computer is experiencing registry or optimization
problems. If it corrects your problem then run it
daily or whenever your system appears to run slow.
Advanced SystemCare Free
Select the "Download now" button ..Not the "Download Here" on the banner.http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-System…
Now run the "Windows Maintain" and "Diagnose System" part of the program.
If you experience any slow connections at all..keep this in mind. They are either working on the website or rebooting...happens several times a day to keep everything up to date.
Cheers
