command rcon ventrilo
The console commands bellow can be executed in a manually started servers console window. You can also send the commands to the server from a remote clients chat by pasting them with the string “/rcon “.
Example “/rcon status”.
PS: the remote client must be logged in with the admin rights.
Some of the examples have the < and > around the parameters. Do not include these characters when entering the command.
Commands and short descriptions:
command rcon ventrilo: auth < 0 | 1 | 2 >
Allows the authorization mode to be changed dynamically.
command rcon ventrilo: banadd <ip[/bits]> <reason>
Add an IP address, or subnet address, and a reason for the banning to the ban list and ban file. If you specify a subnet like 180.100.10.0/16 then any IP address that starts with 180.100 will be banned
command rcon ventrilo: bandel <ip[/bits]>
Removes an IP address from the ban list. related to banadd if you want to delete a ban address that is specified by a subnet then you must identify the same ip and subnet in the bandel rcon command.
command rcon ventrilo: banlist
Displays all of the banned IP address, the user name of the IP address, the admin who banned them and the reason why.
command rcon ventrilo: clientkick <uid>
<uid> is the users connection ID number. Initiates the server to disconnect a user.
command rcon ventrilo: clientstatus <uid>
Outputting more detailed information about a particular client.
command rcon ventrilo: comment <text>
Permits the server’s comment string to be changed dynamically. The <text> can be whatever you want.
command rcon ventrilo: diag < 0 | 1 >
Permits the diagnostic mode to be switched dynamically.
filtertts < 0 | 1 >
Enables or disables filtering out of TTS binds.
filterwave < 0 | 1 >
Enables or disables filtering out of wave file binds.
help
Shows the list of all console commands.
command rcon ventrilo: kickall
Kicks all clients connected to the server.
Note: If executed from an “/rcon” command from an client (logged in as an admin), that client is exempted from the kick.
command rcon ventrilo: loggrep <lines> <search text>
Permits the servers log file to be searched for an explicit part of text.
Note: it may effect the server to temporarily interrupt voice communication for all clients depending on the size of the log file
command rcon ventrilo: maxclients
Shows the current maxclients setting. You can not change the value on any kind of servers. Versions 2.2.0 and up.
command rcon ventrilo: monitor < 0 | 1 >
Valid when executed from a remote client using the “/rcon” option in the chat window. It initiates the server to send all status and log messages to the executive client. Value 1 turns ON the monitor command, and the value 0 turns it OFF.
command rcon ventrilo: name
Shows the server’s name and current comment. Versions 2.0.0 and up.
password <newpassword>
Permits the global login password to be changed dynamically.
command rcon ventrilo: pingrate <1..10>
<1..10> is number of seconds the server is going to ping the clients.
command rcon ventrilo: pingtrace < -2 | -1 | 0 | 1..n >
Permits tracing the ping results as they are reported back from the clients. (executes only from remote clients).
-2 = ping results for clients in the same channel.
-1 = ping results for all clients.
0 = ping tracing disabled.
1..n = ping results for a specific client (specifies the UID)
command rcon ventrilo: quit
Shutdown the server.
Note:If the server was started by a NT Service control program then it will be restarted in 10 seconds.
serverstatus
Outputs full status information about the server.
status
Shows the user id, channel id, login name and IP address for all users.
command rcon ventrilo: timestamp < 0 | 1 >
Enables / disables displaying timestamp’s on console and remote console server messages.
command rcon ventrilo: tts <text>
Sends out a text-to-speech message to all users on the server (all channels). The <text> can be whatever you want.
version
Shows the program version of the server.
